BASALT or BUST! Bike Cruise. September 25th. With MAX TAAM!!
A reminder that we are going to be cruising from The Aspen Art Museum down the Rio Grand Trail and ending up in Basalt at The Riverside Grill. The ride starts at noon and there will be stops along the way. Please come and ride all in the name of Stem Cell Therapy! I'm announcing that I will be riding tandem with a special guest... Max Taam!

Max passing to Lance in the 12 Hour Race at Snowmass
Max has recently been training with the one and only Lance Armstrong (our newest local). I'm grateful that Max will take the time to ride with me. I have a feeling I'm going to get pushed and work completely over. I asked Max this morning if we could take the tandem to The Bells for a practice ride; a place I can't get to alone, a place I have never been to by bike. Just thinking of the endless possibilities of where we can ride feeds my soul, my desire and makes me want to train harder.

Lessons Being Learned. YOGA!
Yeah yoga, is not that easy for me. In fact sometimes I get scared to go to class. Yes, I'm scared to go to class because I may not be able to do the yoga poses the other students can do. Group classes are still new to me. Less than 2 months ago I only had private instructors that helped to hold me in every pose. So, after searching Aspen I have found basic classes that I can participate in and enjoy. I still receive more attention than others but for the most part I can position and self adjust as well as any beginner. It's the standing poses and the sun salutations that I fear. These positions are difficult and tend to release this instant fear, anxiety and sometimes I get so frustrated I just leave....crying.
Over all I continue to impress myself with the positions that I can do. I see change in my body and a new strength in my new muscles that have not been activated in the past. Even with the fear and the anxiety of my new yoga classes I cannot be stopped. I push on in order to let go of the past as I look into the future while learning to remain in the present.

HELP LEAH Get Back To INDIA For Her 2nd Stem Cell Treatment
Next Trip: October 25th 2008 – November 25th 2008
The date was set before I left NuTech Hospital last July. I had a meeting with both Dr. Geeta Shroff and Dr. Ashish Verma together we made a plan that would best help my body return to life. I feel the time is now and we must continue to push on in order to gain knowledge of what is actually possible in this day and age. Together we can work to bring stem cell therapy closer to home.
After the first trip and my three month journey I feel more prepared, more confident and I know what to expect. I have friends, doctors and healers waiting to pick up where we left off. New energy and new movement. New Cells for the winter. It's all waiting for me and I'm excited as I set my sights on what is to be. I have the drive, desire and spirit to heal. I just need the finances to make it happen.
